Tricia and Byron Schimpp first began distilling the wild plants growing on their remote property in Utah, located in the shadows of Bryce Canyon National Park, in 2004. It started with curiosity about the beneficial qualities of the wild sagebrush, a plant that produces potent essential oils to protect itself in harsh conditions ranging from snow in winter to scorching heat in summer. Tricia discovered that the hydrosol obtained from this plant worked wonders at hydrating her hair, leaving it truly soft. It also makes a wonderful cleansing and hydrating skin toner and aftershave!
From sagebrush to lavender and many more plants, Tricia and Byron continue to sustainably grow, wildcraft, distill and explore the beneficial qualities of plants for body care products. Both are avid outdoor enthusiasts and Grand Canyon river guides. As such and as a member of the “baby boomer” club, Tricia developed her own survival kit of skin and body care products made from 100% natural and pure botanicals that are now tried and true. Not only did the products beat the heat and harsh outdoor elements, they improved the quality of Tricia’s skin to the point that other passengers on the rafting trips wanted to know her secret! Tricia found an eager market of other outdoor enthusiasts who tried her botanicals, fell in love with the immediate results and demanded a website where they could purchase more!
And so, Bryce Canyon Botanicals came to be. Tricia and Byron know first hand that treating our bodies with 100% natural botanical ingredients is nourishing and healing for the skin and spirit! They continue their fun and fascinating journey of botanical exploration and invite you to share the many benefits of their Bryce Canyon Botanicals 100% natural and pure body care products. Discover beauty, nature's way!
